About this Episode

Indie games get a bad rep. All that title means is that they are games from a developer not tied to one of the massive AAA studios. Instead, indie has become a meme that often means low-quality, rough, or in need of improvement.

But some of the biggest esports ever came out of indie studios. The best example being the founding of Riot Games by two USC students in 2006. League of Legends went on to become one of the biggest games and esports in the world. This podcast covers some of the history of indie developers in esports, some of the best indie games out right now and my idea for an awesome indie-based annual esports event.
