About this Episode

Cheating in esports comes in a variety of forms. Aim bots give perfect shots, wall hacks allow you to see people you shouldn't but one form of cheating is the simplest of all.

Screen peeking. Many a fight were caused from the simple act of looking at an opposing split screen, and it still happens in the highest levels of esports. A Fortnite World Cup player was removed from the event for screen-peeking.

To talk about the problem and how designers are working on it, I brought on Dustin Sweeney from HKS Sports and Entertainment. He's worked on projects like the US Bank Stadium, the LA Rams complex and the Team Vitality HQ. We talk about this problem, then move on to talk about designing facilities for different esports and how the Overwatch and Call of Duty Leagues move to hometown venues is going.

Dustin also is slotted for a panel at SXSW so if you enjoyed this conversation please vote for him and attend the event if you can.
