UPROXX and VY Esports Bring on Esports Orgs, Athletes and Rappers for EDGE

VY Esports is launching EDGE, a new series of esports events. VY Esports brought on UPROXX and GameStop as strategic partners while adding American Eagle as the presenting sponsor. On this podcast, VY Esports Creative Director Kyle Augustin-Stallock talks about creating the lineup for this event. He's joined by Martin Rickman UPROXX Editorial Director of Dime and UPROXX Sports.

This podcast covers the launch of EDGE, how mainstream celebrities are getting involved in esports and why multiple panels focus on the importance of mental health in gaming. You can watch EDGE this Saturday, June 25th, starting at Noon PT and going until 5 PM PT. The event will be aired at edgelive.gg and on UPROXX and GameStop's Twitch channels.

Faculty and student leader representatives from the gaming/esports programs from top LA-area universities discuss the current state of collegiate esports

2:30pm - Game Design - Leanne Loombe, Riot Games

Learn about video game design from one of the top game designers in the world, Leanne Loombe of Riot Games (League of Legends and Valiant)

3:00pm - Sports & Gaming - Derwin James, LA Chargers; Cam Akers, LA Rams

NFL stars Derwin James and Cam Akers discuss how gaming impacts their lives as professional athletes and the intersection of sports and esports

3:30pm - Live Madden Showcase (Derwin James vs. Cam Akers)

NFL stars Derwin James and Cam Akers square off in a live Madden esports competition

4:15pm - Music in Gaming - YBN Nahmir, Atlantic Records
Platinum-selling rapper YBN Nahmir covers how gaming helped form his ‘YBN’ clan and other topics around music and gaming
